At one time I was Diamond with both Hyatt and Hilton. The difference was like night and day. My main complaint was with the Hilton Hawaiian Village (HHV) in Waikiki. I was just one of the herd, crappy service at check in, crappy room, and they lost my car. Sone with a member of the staff and pointed out this difference in treatment as was told that this is due to the fact so many Diamonds take thier free trips to HHV that they just could not possibly treat them all special. Many of my Diamond level travel-mates have had the same treatment there.

Hyatt Waikiki on the other hand always upgrade me, treats me like royalty, and above all make me feel welcome.

Yeah I know must be tough to have to "work" in Honolulu as part of the job, but someone has to do it! And it may as well be me.
