I have a buddy that just got a sales job, hence he has started to travel a lot. he has no status, cause he is brand new to travlling.

His step-mom has been in sales for years (5 or more) she has a Gold Medallion with Delta....

my buddy twice now has tied on his step moms card to his brief case, walked in to the crown room just waved to the person behind the desk, flashed the card & without a hitch got in...

I have no status with DL, or any airline for that matter....I use to...but they dont care....any who....I am wondering how likely is it that crown room checks ID, name on the card etc...or is it possible one person really use anothers card?
