Not exactly...
Husband has his own business (e-catalogues/Internet/Intranet etc.) and it has eaten into some of our holidays (he is often on the laptop sorting out clients and the people who work for him - fortunately he normally does that before I get up or when I am at the gym/swimming).
About four years ago he won a HUGE bit of work that he really didn't expect to get. It clashed badly (the project was at a critical stage) with a big sporting event that I was due to compete at in Australia. A week before I went to Australia husband decided that he could spare a few days to come and see me (really didn't want to miss the event). So I booked him Business Class flights with Malaysian (BA were EXTORTIONATE at that short nottice - Malaysian were about £2200 round trip). He flew out to Australia, spent two days with me (saw me compete, slept for a few hours, spent a lot of the night working in the hotel lobby), then flew home - what a star ^ . I flew back about 5 days later. Then three days later flew to Chicago with him to see said client: went from +40'C and +11 hours to "well below freezing", snow and -6 hours in about 4 days - it actually worked wonders for the jet lag (felt better in Chicago than I had done in the UK!).
So it could be worse - working for yourself, it is a lot harder to say "no!" to requests
Good luck, hope that you negotiate some favourable compensation
