The train-minimal service-have to go from Heathrow to London, then take 2 more trains to get to Southampton. Could be a real problem with cruise luggage.
I have rented an Opel station wagon from AutoEurope. The confirmation states National. However, if I go to the National website, there are no Opel station wagons listed as available at Heathrow. I just hope this works out OK. If something glitches, it would be a really bad way to start our cruise.
You'll have trouble getting an Opel as it's a European brand. It would probably be another GM brand called Vauxhall and I'm guessing it would be a Sintra (like a mini-van) or a Vectra Estate (like a station wagon).
