I'm in the minority camp in this forum that agrees with DL's policy to equate MQM's with fare paid. DL doesn't really care what type aircraft you fly on or if you have the ability to upgrade a particular flight. They are focused on what revenue they can wring out of your wallet. Their policy is simple: The more you pay for your flight, the more MQM's they give you. I can't really argue with this.
