Wow... talk about a looooong string of bad luck.

I have to say though... taking each incident individually, and I just see normal things one has to deal with with air travel. The only possible place in the story where I would place blame on the airlines is on US for not understanding that they already have the flight coupon.

Delays happen. Weather happens. TSA happens.

Honestly, IF you choose to write to AA and US, do it in an objective, matter-of-fact, non-emotional matter, and they might throw some token miles your way. Other than that...

(PS - I would also leave out how the DFW-PHL flight got out on time/early... it has no relevance to your case, as you agreed to fly to ORD.)
