I am surprised at the lack of air links for such a major city (I did find that second Osaka airport), but I suppose your rail services are so developed it makes more sense just to zip into Kyoto from Yokohama and return to Tokyo and on to NRT for my onward flight (I am booking a First Class award for this trip, and services to/from KIX seem to only offer Business Class. Also, and open jaw -- arriving NRT departing KIX -- will jeopardize my overall routing as allowed on award tickets.)
