Pulling out of an Ottawa Esso this afternoon (after having used my Extra card), I noticed several signs saying "2 is 1 - double Aeroplan" or something to that effect.

I was driving, so I couldn't look too carefully, but it looks like you can now get double Aeroplan miles, bringing the ratio from 1:3 to 1:1.5... not sure if this is for good or just a summertime promotion.

Now, I had been accumulating Esso Extra points with the intention of flipping them to Avion points to Asiamiles (5000 extra to 3000 Avion/Asiamiles, I think). Perhaps this now has to be re-evaluated.

Does anyone have any further information?
