i've stayed at the omni several times, always on a priceline stay. it's a lovely lobby and a fine hotel, although the last time we were there we had to sign a form stating we weren't renting the room for a party. we weren't, of course, but if they're making folks sign that form, perhaps they've been having some issues...

if finances (rather than points) are the issue, it might be worth pursuing from that angle.
