I've never registered for an hotel program as most of my stays in hotels are in SEA and I usually stay in serviced apartment, especially The Ascott who doesn't seem to offer any fidelity program. In London I just got the rates of Sommerset, their less luxurious chain, and it's far from a good deal.

So would you recommend joining an hotel program ? which one? Do you know some 4 stars with large rooms where I can negociate a decent deal - I like having some space, favouring a few extra sqm over an extra star.

I have budget up to 140 £ per night but 100 would be better. I usually work around Hatton Garden but other downtown locations might do.

I'm also a gold ROP and silver Skyward FF member, so if I get some miles on the way it won't hurt.

Thanks for all input
Luis

Hey Luis,
It Will

When i went to London last time I used the site www.Virtualtraveler.com for suggestions. There are a ton of locals and they are more then happy to give you the inside tips on not just hotels but things to do while you are in a city. I just IM'ed a couple of people and they were more then happy to help. On of them also new a manager and got the room for me at half price.
