Thanks to everyone who responded.

Actually I was aware PAL has been flying to HNL , and infact many cheap package tours from SE Asia to the US would fly PAL and stopover at HNL before proceeding to LAX. Unfortunately PAL is not an airline I would like to fly on, and I would rather take a longer/more expensive route.

Looks like my options are now with JAL, ANA or KE.
