1. The Sheraton is nice if you have a good price, this means a rate under 200$. At 100$ for the 4Points or 150$ for the Meridien would also be a fair deal.
2. You definitely don't need a car in Montreal, unless you are planning to go visit the suburbs and I'm sure you're not.
3. Le Centre Sheraton Montréal or Le Méridien is not worth 7000 Starpoints, to me anyway. However, the cash and points combination is a good value and it's usually available most of the time at Le Centre Sheraton.
