The letter I got at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre said I'd get an RA vip gift, and a fruit bowl. So we figured the fruit bowl was for Ambassadors & the maple syrup, all $1.50's worth - was the Royal gift. I got absolutely nothing at the Bloor one, even though booked a 3 night-stay there & they couldn't give me an upgrade due to renovations. Drinks coupons at the Centre one, mentioned by others here previously, never materialised. The so-called & promised VIP greeting never occurred, unless by that they meant the computerised letter, signed by an assistant mgr welcoming me. I also forked out $10 for in-room internet, warning - there is no mouse control whatso-ever, you need to use your finger (rather difficult for hyper-links) & all history is saved, you cannot delete due to admin. restrictions, and the next occupant will know everywhere you've surfed & presumably, if clever, could do more, like get your passwords.

Nope - maybe they're trying to get me to press the 'mail replacement card' button - so as they don't have to mail me a cert &5k...after all, it's free this year, so maybe I don't get them, and is another cutback?

Nowhere near enough to be of any relevance for this thread (I'm presuming it's still this top 1% criteria, or has it changed again?) - once I realised I didn't have a chance under the new rules - I kind of scaled down my res's.
