A couple of follow up questions:
When will they officially cancel the flights. I thought they were stopping service in October but any estimate on when the will pull the future flights?
I'm in a similar situation with 9 people--using combo of purchased and award tickets. I've called the AAdvantage desk a couple of times and they don't know anything. Even though the AA website shows the press release, the reservations people don't know about this market change. I, too, wonder when they'll get the message so they can help those of us who are trying to be proactive with this unexpected change.
