1. the stampede that follows the announcement that the plane is ready for boarding. even when boarding by rownumbers, everybody wants to get front row and center to watch.
2. oversized carryons. personally, I love to walk on a plane with just a book and a newspaper.
however, everything is a walk in the park compared to my first europe to usa flight when I was 21. got seated next to a 60 year old history teacher who was traveling with his family a couple of rows back. fell asleep as soon as we took off. after a few hours he woke up and had to share the fact with me that he had a wonderful sleep and even woke up with an erection...a subject he couldnīt let go off for the remainder of the flight.
