ATLANTA, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL - News) and Red Roof Inns have launched a partnership to offer travelers another way to earn miles while they sleep. The new agreement gives SkyMiles program members the opportunity to earn two miles per dollar spent at more than 350 Red Roof Inns nationwide.

SkyMiles program members must join the RediCard(TM) Preferred Member program and specify that they would like to receive miles as their reward.

The RediCard Preferred Member program rewards frequent guests with 10 points for each dollar spent, for example, $500 equals 5,000 points. Upon reaching 5,000 points, members who have selected the Delta SkyMiles program as their reward option will automatically receive 1,000 miles, or the equivalent of two miles for each dollar spent at Red Roof Inns.

"The Red Roof network includes hundreds of Inns throughout the United States and offers SkyMiles program members affordable accommodations with consistent and efficient service," said Christine Pierce, Delta's director of partnership marketing. "This partnership also increases mileage-earning opportunities for members of both the SkyMiles and RediCard programs, enhancing the value that we bring to our mutual customers."

As a special launch offer program participants will earn 2,000 miles for every $500 spent, the equivalent of four miles per dollar spent, for stays between March 15 and June 30, 2004.

Delta and Accor, Red Roof Inns' parent company, have been partners in the SkyMiles program since February 2003. Sofitel, Novotel and Mercure, Accor's upscale and midscale hotel brands offer additional mileage-earning opportunities at 1,200 locations throughout the world.
