not too bad .... esp since I don't have a choice ....

tx, aljacket for the reminder .... I'm a little behind on my tripadvisor reports !

It's our company's only choice for hotel in Shenzhen .....

The hotel is not bad. The staff does try very hard, although it is at times difficult to communicate with them in English. The lobby is well lit and inviting. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, although the beds are too hard for me. Housekeeping did try to make the bed a little more comfortable, but it really didn't work; I give them credit for checking with me every day to see if their most current improvement helped. They did offer pillow choices the second time I stayed, but it wasn't offered the first or third. I'm not sure if it was a timing issue or changes in their offering or they forgot to leave the card. The elevator is very slow. I've always felt comfortable there. No report on the hotel restaurants .....

There were regular pest control sprayings which were announced in advance. I put all food in the refrigerator if I could.

There are many grocery stores in the area with a wide variety of foods (cheap !!); WalMart is a 20 minute walk away. It is about 20rmb by taxi from Shekou ferry terminal if that's how you're arriving. I found it easiest to pick up a taxi from the Nan Hai hotel for communication and honesty in fare reasons.
