Not only is it not airside but FRA has a curfew so AFAIK no way to stay airside overnight.

To the OP - I've had shorter overnight connections in FRA and stayed in the central city. It's only a short train ride away and plenty of accommodation within easy distance of the main train station or subway (central zone fare from airport is same as the main train station). Some of these stations dont even require a change of trains Trains run every 5-10 minutes and the trip into city is short.
