You can cordon the space to the BP reader with gilt and velvet all you want but the real issue is how to control the mob that jams ingress/egress to that landing area.

Hell, the reason why somebody thinks velvet ropes and sectioning is needed is because of the jam that will still form in front of it.

Keep the later boarding groups in their seats/away from the BP reader line altogether, and you won't even need the blue/red carpets and velvet ropes.

Which I think only exacerbate the nusiance of the said mob cause you have less space to maneuver around to the BP reader.

It's like the Big Dig in Boston - you can build all you want, but if the population are still idiots and you don't upgrade their mentality...
