Recently due to traffic and a two hour wait at security I came so close to missing a flight to connect to a cruise leaving out of San Juan. If I would have missed that flight the cruise would have left without me.

I suspect that it would have been very difficult to change my ticket to arrive at the ships next port of call in Saint Lucia and talk my way onto the ship, and quite expensive also. There was no refunds for the cruise for me and the family. We left for the airport 4 hours before the flight and it took us 90 minutes to do the typically 30 minute drive. Once we got to the parking lot it took us forever to get a parking spot and wait for the parking bus. Then we waited for ever to check in and get through security. We ran to the gate just as it was being closed. It was a question of seconds to spare.
