The Treo 700w isn't that great. WM5 drags the entire unit down, and less screen resolution than predecessors.

Heard some positive comments about the 700p, albeit on the Palm platform. And that's on Verizon, so no Europe on that, either.

FWIW, there is a new 8700 BlackBerry coming down the pike. Word is Verizon gets it first, in late September...to be called the 8703e (for EV-DO). Sprint and Bell (Canada) to get them after. Other than being on CDMA, I don't know what the other differences will be.

Also heard there will be a "BlackBerry Stealth" coming out on GSM (no UTMA) for Cingular and T-Mobile. Stealth is supposed to have a camera, media and removable components. Unsure about the release date, but December or thereabouts, is the guess.

Palm is supposed to have a couple of other units coming out. One is called "Hollywood" and the other "Lennon." Don't know the specifics, other than there will be no external antenna on it, and they will both use WM.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. Im actually overjoyed with the Treo 700w. Very few problems, push mail works great. Palm OS and Blackberry both need additional software for wireless sync but the 700w works great. I may be tempted to get a GSM one as well when they come out. I think the Lennon is alledged to be the GSM version.
