I hope you have a lot of time on your hands..when I did this research I called BA, LH, SQ, CX, DL and AA and each one of them said a different thing. Trust me....I was going to try to do the same thing as you but I do not want to pay full fare Y ticket when they tell me that the ticket agent did not what she was talking about....

Also, remember the check in agents in India are totally different than the ticket agents that you will be talking to...

also, how tiny is your kid? Mine is now 8 months old and weighs 14 lbs....but I have not seen her sit still for more than two minutes....
