i) Is someone actually going to take the time to check the size of my bags?
ii) Is it BMI or the CAA who actually enforce these rules (the statement about being sent back to check in the bag is sort of suggestive this not being BMI)?
iii) I've had a 12 inch rule out this afternoon and think I'm just about ok with my Jansport backpack though I'm a little concerned about depth. If things move about inside the bag and the depth perhaps goes a little over the 10 inches, is there any leeway? I am considering getting something a little bit smaller with a more fixed shape.
iv) My backpack easily comes in at under 7kg (more like 4-5) but I'm guessing my separate laptop brief will bring me above this. So, is the laptop in addition to the weight allowance or part of the weight allowance?
nobody checked my bags en-route to LAS last week - I believe the laptop bag is in addition to the 7kg cabin baggage allowance - that's how I treated this....mind you I ensured I WAS compliant with size of carry-ons, just in case...hope this helps...enjoy your flight.
