Don't know what a Presidents Club decision has to do with EWR ops guys or perceptions of a JETBLUE threat. PC is a completely separate entity and reporting line.
Met Barger once and remember he said he was sent to Micronesia after running EWR...then jumped ship. Most of those EWR folks were legacy from the People Express / New York Air days anyway, so no great shakes. Not a lot of love lost for either side, but the more EWR history CO gets rid of, the better. Too much bad blood from the late '80s and not a fit for the successful culture they created during the mid '90s.
