If you want to get rid of the pop-ups you only need to edit your "hosts" file.

This can usually be found in:
"windows\system32\drivers\etc"

edit the file "hosts" by opening with editor or word and add the following lines at the top:

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 images.blogads.com
127.0.0.1 context5.kanoodle.com
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 imageads.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 leader.linkexchange.com
127.0.0.1 a.tribalfusion.com
127.0.0.1 ad.doubleclick.net
127.0.0.1 fastclick.net

Then save and voila !
