I do wonder why it is that I only noticed the red markings once they were filtered through the BBC's lenses. Tokyo does always seem much more 'colourful' on TV - but only in the literal sense.

I guess my first impression was the one that stuck - I obviously paid much more attention on that initial visit, something I should keep in mind...
