why on Earth aren't you an MP 1K ?
LH seems to be a solid misfit for your travel needs.
I can see how you would arrive at that conclusion and I have been tempted by UA and AA and their plentiful SWUs/VIPs etc.

I moved to BOS fairly recently and I do like lounges very much, but I don't mind paying for a drink. I have stopped flying LH in Y a while ago (but am still bitter about their seat pitch) and now tend to pay for Z to Europe/Asia.

LH SEN works for me as LH treats me decently on intercontinental flights, I can upgrade to LH F and on US-domestic flights *G gives me E+ on UA and access to the RCCs.

Also, I tend to fly less than 100k BIS miles per year, so getting 2.25x EQM in C and 3.25x in US domestic F as well as the 2 year re-qualification help me out.
