I'll piggy back on this thread, rather than create (another!) one of my own as I have a similar question.

I want/need to fly HKG-BKK in Feb as part of a *A award booking and am currently booked in F on what is described as "747" (i.e. 7442 as far as I'm aware). For better planning reasons I'd like to move the flight two days earlier, which is showing in the timetable as "743".

So my question is this. BKK-HKG is relatively a short sector, so I don't think I should be that fussed about being on the older 743 in terms of seating - or should I? Is the 7442 that much better than the 743 in F? Also I wanted to check that the only real difference is the seat - will everything else be the same (i.e. service etc.)?

Is there any difference in service or any other difference between the midday flight (601) and the evening flight (607)? Thanks in advance for any help or opinions anyone has on this...
