For the purchase bonus points with Mypoints, I had to say that chances are I would have to chase my points after the 30 days window had passed. I usually make a note of it and wait for the 30 days. If no points shows up, I will shoot off my "missing points inquiry email" to Mypoints membercare. (You can do it either by sending a direct email or using the hyperlinks provided under your account transaction history under each clickthru). Sometimes it will take a couple of email to repeatedly send them the pruchase/sign-up confirmation email.
To Mypoints credit, they have always honored my requests and posted my pruchase bonus points, even though it would longer than the orginal 30 days window. No complaints, as long as I get my owed points.
I've had them deny points based on the name on the account/name used for purchase, but then emailing again usually yields a different result. The only time I've had that situation, I also hadn't received a response within a week, so I sent another email. The first CSR replied and said that since the names didn't match (one was both my maiden and married names, the other was just my married name), they wouldn't post the points. The other CSR replied and said the points would post that day. To the OP, try emailing again, using the hyperlink under the transaction on your account.
