I enjoy collecting and studying pre-deregulation airline as well as pre-Amtrak railroad timetables. It's great to step back to how things were in the real good old days.

When I was young, I remember my mother explaining things like, "Your father has an Eastern Airlines ticket, but he can go over to United and use it there," and "You see, if I don't travel today, I can just go tomorrow, they'll still take my ticket." I couldn't understand how one airline could accept another's ticket, or how you could just go on another day. Guess the airlines couldn't either!
In terms of memorabilia, I used to have a really cheesy set of Delta playing cards from the 1970s, and some nice orange Braniff ones but I can't find them. But that's about it.
