I think they had only two classes at the time. First
and Economy. I think the Business model came later.
Upstairs on their 747 with only three windows each
side were only 12 or 16 seats, no entertainment.
There was a circular stairway from downstairs. No
carry on at that time, I remember. Not like today.
PanAm did not have entertainment upstairs either.
And no permanent FA either. They would check on
you from downstairs. But upstairs was heaven.
