Wow, super. Not only do I remember Republic Airlines
and their gooseneck tail well from their operations in
ATL and CLT and their birth by the merger of North Central
and Southern Airways; I remember when Howard Hughes
bought Air West and renamed it Hughes Airwest
( The Flying Banana ) quite vividly. My goodness, I really
remember when Pacific Air Lines, West Coast Airlines and
Bonanza Airlines merged to form Air West. Now it all falls
together.
I will make a note as to 1986 that Northwest Orient
became Northwest.
Thanks for the enlightenment. First class research
team for sure.
