Thanks, mosburger. If I have more than one person in the taxi, does the driver expect more? And how does one negotiate such a fare? Obviously, I'd like to arrange it in advance (at least a few hours, preferably the day before), and not leave it "to chance."

Also, I've heard all sorts of estimates for how long it takes from Suzhou to Pudong Airport. I'm guessing 2 1/2 hours is "worst case," right?

BTW, in searching the web, I came across that information regarding that bus service. For a solo traveller, it doesn't seem like a bad deal. Once you've got a couple people though, a taxi seems like a more attractive option if you can get a reasonable fare.
