To my knowledge Delta Skymiles cannot be transferred to any other program. Skymiles can be redeemed for travel on partner airlines, including other Skyteam members, but DL's partnership with VS no longer includes this option. (Delta miles can be redeemed for travel on Continental, and some Continental codeshare flights are operated by Virgin, but I am fairly certain these flights would not be eligible for SkyMiles award redemptions.)

Limited amounts of AA miles can be transferred to Diners Club Rewards and Hilton HHonors, which in turn can be converted to VS miles, but there is significant loss of value in process.

AA 50000 = DC 25000 = VS 25000 (50% loss)
AA 50000 = HH 100000 = VS 15000 (70% loss)
