I didn't find Naples all that great of a city, but Pompeii was a delight and something you could do for hours.

The Amalfi Coast is excellent, I stayed in a town called Ravello up on the mountain top with a view of the Sea that was quite good. People are very friendly, streets are crazy to drive in, and the "gay" is not very apparent (or atleast to me...)
