You defintely have reason to be tiffed. I cannot understand why the supervisor would not let you board unless the flight was full (with only the last two seats for the late runners). I think the supervisor should have listened to whey you were late to the gate...I would defintely write and see what AA can do for you for all the aggrevation and to remind the DTW supervisor to listen.
