"You don't have permission" gives a useless suggestion

I participate mostly in the Aeroplan forum. From time to time a wholly off-topic thread is moved somewhere else. To OMNI perhaps?

Sometimes I might have been interested in the thread. After it has been moved I get the standard

zorn, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. This forum may require additional account pre-requisites that you don't current have. Check the Announcements for this forum to see if you're required to have a minimum number of posts already, etc.
3. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

2. is the only possibility in my case. Since I can't look at whatever forum the thread now lives in, I can't check the announcements to see what the forum prerequisites might be.
