Atlanta to Maui SkySaver Dilemma
OK, I've got a dilemma.. I was trying to book Atlanta - Maui back in December 2003 for Labor Day weekend 2004. I couldn't get a SkySaver in First Class for both myself and my wife, they only had one available. I got her the 60,000 award ticket and they put me on the 'priority wait list' for the other one. I have to call and 'renew' my spot every 14 days. Well, nothing has changed, and I am still on the 'priority wait list'. I've done some reading and now understand how hard it is to get a SkySaver to Maui. I am almost starting to feel lucky that I even got one of them to go through. During my 'waitlist renewal' tonight, they lady said that there were only 9 SkyChoice seats left, and I better keep checking back every 2 days. I thought that SkyChoice pulled right out of the currently available seats, of which there are PLENTY left in First Class?
What should I do, should I continue to wait and keep calling every 14 days to renew my spot on the waitlist, or just give in and do a SkyChoice for 120k miles?
Do the brainchilds in Delta Marketing ever release SkySaver seats to Maui out of the blue?
Anybody ever been on a 'priority wait list' for SkySaver and gotten one?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
