We have stayed there twice for a week each time. Our last stay was 9 months ago. We really like this hotel a lot. The location is great and the rooms are nice. We stayed both times using points. The first time our room was much nicer than the second time, but even so, it was a very nice room. There is a restaurant across the street called Laduree that serves American breakfasts if that's what you want. Breakfast there was about 40 Euros. We ate at the hotel a few times and that was too expensive for what you get. It was $64.00 or thereabout for breakfast.
There's a McDonald's almost next door and a small Paul's almost next door too that serves pastry, coffee, etc. Paul's regular restaurant at the corner of rue de Buci and rue de Seine is where we usually eat breakfast. You need to take the subway. I think it's the best bang for the buck breakfast.
You will have no problem finding restaurants on the Champs Elysees. There are a few good Italian restaurants across the street and another one up the street.
The staff is great.
Have fun.
