1st issues, many of my flights will be from the east coast back to the west coast... the UA flights are bank or the flying times are just not condusive to my schedule.

I want to be loyal to UAL, but since I already know that I won't come close to 1K, should I start flying AA and try to get general membership with them. The flights where I want to go are a bit cheaper...

I know I'll miss my status benefits, Channel 9 and E+ seating... which all saddens me deeply, but the loyalty to them is what really make me try to find any and all routing that possible could work.

AA... well, once I move to SEA, I guess AA is partnered with Alaska, so maybe it won't be horrible. I don't know if UA is all that competitive in the pricing out of SEA.

One works so hard to gain an advantage to the hussle and bussle of traveling... to be left out in the cold on an MD-80 (doesn AA have any other damn planes besides the MD-80.)

I know many of you say, stay with UAL, get the miles and the upgrades. I guess, somewhere along the lines, I have to give up something, in hope to gain something.

UAL forever... or until they just price me out
Yes, UA fares are cheaper out of SEA.

AS has a horrible on-time track record. Seems like every time I fly AS, the flight is delayed for whatever reason.

Further on AS, they REALLY cram you in the back. It seems like it's even more sardine-like than on UA (even outside of E+).

Good luck.
