I was on an IAD-SFO flight yesterday afternoon, about mid flight I took a walk to the back to the REAR galley of the plane to chat with the FA's and to stretch my legs like I do on most flights.
When I get to the galley one of the FA's asks me what I was doing, I said "I was just here to strecth my legs and talk". SHe told me that I am not alloud to stand in the galley and that I would have to go back to my seat. She aslo said that it was a new FAA rule.
Out of all my flights, I have never heard this before.
What do you guys think??

Complete BS. I've never had such a problem, but then again I usually ask if standing around for a few minutes to stretch poses a problem, which it never does. I'm always careful to let them say that if I'm getting in the way, just let me know and it's always after the meal service is over. The worst thing that's ever happened is that they threaten to put me to work. I'd say that you had the misfortune to get a bad crew.
