On a recent LHR-SFO flight (which was delayed 18 hours BTW due to lack of a crew at LHR) the captain announced on take-off the usual warning about using the restroom in your ticketed cabin; he also said "do not congregate in the galley". This was the first time I'd heard this and I thought it was unfriendly and bordered on offensive. Basically he is saying don't talk to the FAs in the galley on this 10 hour flight, as I interpreted it.
(I might mention that the FAs had their own cordoned off rest/sleeping area at the front of E+, separate from the galley area.)
