Gold will pay $685.09 + 15K, Platinum will pay $635.09 + 15K. This works on all transPac routes as well. Find travel dates that have both a low Y fare (around $485 for the LAS route over the next 330 days) AND have an outbound seat available for the 15K advance upgrade. Then, be prepared to pay $250 ($200 Gold, $150 Plat.) for a day of departure return upgrade; (of course you have the option not to upgrade and save the money, should you prefer), - hope that it's available, and if it is, voila. This strategy gives alot of bang for the buck if you have 15K lying around getting lonely and want to fly F transPac on HA.
