Or they purchased a certain number of miles from Delta, allocated them accordingly, and simply ran out of the awards. You are making an assumption that I don't believe should be made. That is, you are assuming that there is a pool of miles, and as someone redeems an award, Coke dips into the pool. I don't think that's what's happening. I think they allocated a number of each award, and when they're gone, they're gone. So you might have no 500 mile awards, but you might still have others. I agree with what someone else said, the profitability of someone selling 500 miles on the internet is going to go down with the amount of time spent putting in the codes, and I will also add the risk involved, so there will be less profiteering at the higher levels. Just my two cents. Then again, I don't think the 500 milers should ever have been available in the first place, just because of the problem that has arisen. Personally, I am saving for one of the higher awards, knowing full well that there is a risk that they will be yanked or run out.
