Now here is the real odd thing. Internal cabin noise on the A330/340 is lower than on the 777's, and yet on the ground the 777 beats the A330.

It has something to do with physics and can be explained by those better than me, but if you live under a flight path, you'd hope to see more tripple 7's than the Airbus.

And another odd point, on a jet the noise goes backwards, but on a propellar driven plane the noise goes forwards. Hence in the old days why the first class cabin was always at the back. In fact the Queen's Flight (Elizabeth II) still has her cabin at the back of the plane.
