Orbitz and CO.com are both based on ITA Software's engine, so it's not surprising that both would exhibit this behavior.
We should probably get ITA Hacker in here to see if he knows what's up with all this. FWIW, matrix.itasoftware.com didn't seem to have any problems with NYC over the last few days.
