[QUOTE=hfly]No Dave, I actually am in a position to comment on what many other carriers are planning.

Whether BA has had the policy or not is IRRELEVENT as other carriers DO. For that matter policy or NOT, I have never heard of BA to date refusing any Long haul Club or F passenger 2 x 32 kg on ANY route that they fly worldwide, this will no longer be the case.[QUOTE=hfly]

Firstly, you cannot be in a position to have private knowledge of the policy plans for every major carrier. I have several friends in various positions in other airlines and they have all told mne that they are very interested in how this policy shapes up and althought they stated "no current plans" that is something that can change with one press release.

As for never refusing 2x32k for F, we used to take more than 32k but when this was limited very few passengers had a problem with it. I accept your point that 23k is alot lower, but I can also see that there are clear issues with staff being repeatedly asked to lift bags up to that weight. I know that you do not accept that there is a H&S arguement here, (and I personally hate those H&S people with their patronising little rules on everything) but it does not take too much imagination to accept that not all baggage handlers are built like an Ox and some may be suffering as a result of heavier items.

Finally I do think that Dave is very clearly in favour of this, don't get so het up about it. He is allowed to differ in his opinion from your own. His pointsw have been as consistent as your own and anyone reading the thread will be under no illusions about your own postings and what you mean. Just try to relax the emotions a bit, your postings are very interesting but can be a bit attacking, which I am sure is not your intention and takes away from your point.
