Actually Ren @ Wailean DOES have a Platinum Liason. Unfortunately I deleted my emails and PMs with her information. I am sure if you call the hotel they will put you in touch with her. You can talk to the Liason and mention that it's a special occasion.

As a platinum they did comp me the upgrade from the base room to ocean view, and then I paid to upgrade to Mokapu which worked out very well for me.

If you do book a Mokapu room, you will get complimentary breakfast for two at their buffet.
