sorry, should have expanded. yes, security scan it to check it's actually a valid BP rather than just a photocopy or so. if flying domestic, they then also attach your picture to the BP. lounge dragons scans it for same reasons as swiping your normal BP: to check your ticket, etc and to search for any reasons to deny you access to the lounge.
