If a passenger is agitated and pacing down the aisle, it is in the crew's best interest to have that passenger deplaned. The last thing we want is an agitated passenger who could possibly cause problems in the air. If they want off, let me off. We had one guy who was claustrophobic the other day, and we had to turn around and let him off because he was becoming very agitated, sweating, and said "he wasn't gonna make it"....people like that are the ones who try and open doors inflight.


For the ones who say "I wouldn't have done it if I was the captain", don't be so sure. You make the best decision you can with the information you have in front of you. Inevitably, you're gonna piss someone off, no matter what the decision is
